The unregistered version allows you:

  • view words with 6 letters length;
  • solve nonograms not larger than 20 x 20;
  • solve four kinds of sudokus (9 x 9, 12 x 12, 16 x 16, Samurai Sudoku);
  • solve kakuro and hitori.

In order to have access to all database, you need to register your copy of the program.

Cross+A can use language modules from Microsoft Office 97/2000 for spell checking. If Microsoft Office is not installed on your computer, or you use the other version of Microsoft Office, you can download spell checking components from our web-site:




Starting from the version 7.08, Cross+A supports GNU Aspell (http://aspell.net). GNU Aspell is a Free and Open Source spell checker designed to eventually replace Ispell. It can either be used as a library or as an independent spell checker.

The latest binaries of GNU ASpell for Windows and the precompiled dictionaries can be downloaded from the web-site of the project.
